After severe weather forced Kaw Valley FC to move their home opening match from Friday night to Saturday morning, the Cranes picked up six points on Saturday with victories over the Thunder Bay Chill and WSA Winnipeg. In the morning match against the Chill, the Cranes rebounded from an early goal to score three unanswered goals to earn three points. Kristof Urbanyi tallied a PK in the 7th minute, Pandelis Popgeorgiev hit an absolute missile in the 44th, and Ignacio Lerech hit a beautiful curler early in the second half for KVFC.

In the night cap, KVFC dominated WSA Winnipeg from start to finish in a lightning shortened 3-0 victory (75 minutes). Sam Gettings opened the scoring in the first half on a rebound off a Tommy Fiszel rocket. Lorant Lettner and Mason Visconti both scored in the second half to seal the match for Kaw Valley.

Both matches can be viewed at the YouTube links below and the Cranes are back in action on Friday for a 7:30 p.m. kick at Rock Chalk Park.
