KVFC welcomed the Green Bay Voyageurs to Kansas for the first time this weekend. Green Bay took the Friday matchup behind two first-half goals. Kevin Komodi buried a free kick to pull the Cranes within one in the 55th minute but the Voyageurs saved a penalty kick late in the match to seal the win.
On Saturday, the teams were scoreless until a nice buildup led to a Green Bay goal in the 80th minute. Just when it looked like the weekend might be lost for the Cranes, Manel Busquets got on the end of a long ball from Jordan Salt and buried a beautiful strike over the keeper with seconds remaining in stoppage time.
Kaw Valley FC finishes the home league schedule on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Both matches are at Rock Chalk Park.
