Facing the most important weekend in franchise history, Kaw Valley FC rose to the occasion in picking up four points across two matches. On Thursday, the Cranes defeated St. Louis for the third time this season. Mason Visconti scored on a quick restart in the 1st half and Kevin Komodi added a goal in the second half. The Lions finished a PK in the 80th minute to make things interesting but KVFC held on for a 2-1 victory.
Facing undefeated Des Moines on Saturday, KVFC took the first point off the Menace with a 0-0 draw. Due to lightning, the match only lasted 49 minutes before being called just before midnight. The Cranes were led by an outstanding defensive performance from the backline of Lorant Letter, Lucas Bartlett, Bryce Gibson, Chase Bromstedt, and goalkeeper Nicolau Neto.
The Cranes travel to Green Bay for two matches against the Voyageurs. Both matches kick off at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday and Saturday. Follow twitter.com/kawvalleyfc for updates and streaming information.
