Kaw Valley FC announced today that the Club and its Technical Director, Istvan Urbanyi, have mutually agreed to part ways.
“On behalf of the organization, I want to thank Istvan for his hard work and commitment to the team and club over the first three years of the organization. Istvan has played a huge role in the early success of the organization and he will always be a part of the KVFC family” said Kaw Valley FC President & General Manager Marcus Dudley. “Istvan is currently serving as the Sporting Director for Honved FC, a first division club in Budapest, Hungary, and we wish him every success in his new endeavor.”
Coach Urbanyi helped oversee a number of milestone moments in the Club’s first two seasons including the team’s inaugural debut and qualifying for the playoffs and finishing in the “Elite Eight” during the 2019 historic season. “Being a part of KVFC has been an incredible experience and I’m truly grateful for the opportunity. I want to thank the ownership group and staff for their friendship, the players for their effort and commitment to excellence, and to the fans for their constant support over the first two seasons” said Urbanyi.
“We’re currently in the process of determining the club’s next head coach and we anticipate that we will have a major announcement in the very near future” said Dudley. Kaw Valley FC competes in the Heartland Division of the Central Conference of the USL League Two. Planning for the 2021 season is currently underway and the season schedule should be announced in February.
