Kaw Valley FC has released their USL League Two schedule for the 2019 season. The Cranes will fourteen matches against Heartland Division foes from St. Louis, Winnipeg, Des Moines, Thunder Bay, and Green Bay. The home slate for KVFC will occur between May 24th and June 15th and begins on May 24th at 7:30 p.m. against the Thunder Bay Chill at Rock Chalk Park. Additional non-league matches will be announced in the coming months.
“We could not be more excited by our home slate of matches this season,” Vice President Jordan Bass said. “The ability to have every match on a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday night under the lights will provide an excellent experience for our fans and players alike. It will be another great summer of soccer in northeast Kansas.”
As with last year’s squad, Kaw Valley FC will be composed of players from local universities, former Sporting Kansas City Academy players, and collegiate standouts from across the region and country. The Cranes will be led by second year Head Coach Istvan Urbanyi who was recently named the Director of Talent Identification for Sporting Kansas City. In the 2018 season, KVFC went 3-1 in matches played at Rock Chalk Park and 6-6-2 overall – finishing third in a very competitive Heartland Division where the top two squads ultimately battled for the Central Conference championship.
