Cranes and Lions will play four times during 2019 season

The Kaw Valley FC Cranes and St. Louis Lions will become quite familiar with each other during the summer of 2019, squaring off four times in Heartland Division play. The Lions were founded in 2005 and are led by legendary coach Tony Glavin. Home matches are played at the Tony Glavin Soccer Complex in Cottleville, Missouri with the team's primary colors being green and white. In 2001, the Lions officially became a partner with Celtic Football Club.

May 18th - Cottleville, Missouri - 5:00 p.m.
May 31st - Lawrence, Kansas - 7:30 p.m.
June 2nd - Cottleville, Missouri - 2:00 p.m.
June 13th - Lawrence, Kansas - 7:30 p.m.

2018 St. Louis Lions Season Results
6-6-2 (3rd in Heartland Division)

2018 Matches against Kaw Valley FC
May 18th in St. Louis (Full Match Replay): 1-1 Draw. Tucker Stephenson scored the first goal in KVFC history to give the Cranes a 1-0 lead going into halftime. The Lions equalized in the final moments to split the points.

June 8th in Lawrence (Full Match Replay): 2-1 KVFC Victory. The Lions struck first in Lawrence before Kristof Urbanyi and Stephenson teamed up for a free kick goal right before the halftime whistle. In the second half, Stephenson added his second of the night and KVFC held on for a 2-1 victory a man down the last 25 minutes thanks to stellar defense and a standout performance from goalkeeper Santiago Restrepo.
