The Kaw Valley FC Cranes will host the Thunder Bay Chill in the 2019 home opener before visiting the Canadian side on July 6th. The Chill were founded in 2000 by founder Tony Colistro. The Chill are perennial powers in USL League Two - finishing as the league runner-up in 2017. Known as a physical and technically sound squad, matches with Thunder Bay always hold an extra significance.

June 15th in Lawrence (Full Match Replay): 2-1 KVFC Victory. Eric McWoods scored for KVFC in the first half after the Chill had controlled much of the match. Thunder Bay tied the match in the second half on a controversial goal before McWoods struck again to give the Cranes the victory.
July 11th in Ontario: 2-1 KVFC Loss. The Chill ended the Cranes playoff hopes with a 2-1 home victory. Thunder Bay lead 2-0 at half before Adrian Gutierrez pulled the Cranes within one late in the second half.
